Breaking Ground in Tennessee: Behind the Facility
Kadean Construction is proud to announce an exciting new project for Ajax Distributing Company in Memphis, Tennessee! This state-of-the-art bottling distribution center represents a significant step to meet the growing demands of the beverage distribution industry. Ajax is a repeat client for Kadean’s industrial division, and our team is proud to help continue to build for their success.
Designed with a vision of top-tier performance, the 141,000 SF facility will feature 83,000 SF of warehouse space, a 7,000 SF cooler section, and 13,000 SF of office space across two floors. The project is being managed by Gabriel Project Management, LLC.

Key Construction Milestones and Project Progress
The project is currently under active construction, employing insulated sandwich panel tilt-up construction techniques to ensure both durability and efficiency. The facility will boast a 36-foot clear height, 12 loading dock bays, and a 15,000 SF drive-through dock, making it a logistical powerhouse.
Additional key features include a 1,000 SF repack area, 5,000 SF dedicated to warehouse office space, a driver’s area, and vehicle maintenance garage. The construction progress is on track for an anticipated completion in early 2026.

Ajax Distributing Company is family owned and operated, and was started in 1933 by Edward “Ajax” and Geraldine Turner. Ajax Distributing started as a Double Cola and Dr. Pepper bottler and distributed Falstaff and Gerst beer. In 1970 Ajax acquired the rights to Miller High Life and in 1975 Miller Lite was introduced. The company later acquired the rights to Coors Brewing Company in 1998. Ajax now represents many suppliers including Heineken USA, Diageo, Boston Beer Company, Mikes Hard Lemonade, Constellation Brands, 7up-Snapple and many other craft and import brands.
