Advanced Manufacturing at STLCC-Florissant Valley

Kadean Construction is proud to have led the construction of the state-of-the-art Advanced Manufacturing Center on St. Louis Community College’s Florissant Valley campus. In partnership with Navigate Building Solutions, this step in the College’s STLCC Transformed initiative continues to set new benchmarks in educational infrastructure.

Behind the Building

The hybrid education facility incorporates multiple types of modern learning environments. The multi-story building serves two in-demand categories of study: engineering and workforce innovation.  The engineering component features state-of-the-art spaces for engineering sciences, robotics, business and IT. The workforce innovation component showcases dynamic spaces for automated controls and composites training, welding labs, HVAC and industrial maintenance programs, as well as STLCC’s Pre-Employment Program.

The Advanced Manufacturing Center boasts modern features all geared towards enhancing the educational experience. The facility includes three levels of classrooms, labs, offices, and multi-use spaces, providing a versatile environment for a multitude of programs. One of the standout features is the 10,730 square feet of green roof areas, complete with custom pre-cast concrete benches, which promote sustainability and provide a serene space for students and faculty. The open three-level atrium space with skylights floods the building with natural light, creating an inviting atmosphere for learning and innovation.

    • Empowering the Future Workforce

    The Advanced Manufacturing Center is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge required to thrive in today’s ever evolving workforce landscape. It supports a wide range of programs including robotics, technology, HVAC, welding, and engineering. The center also includes a suite for early college academics, allowing high school students to earn college credits and associate degrees simultaneously, leading to accelerated educational and career paths.
